Viridis Eolia Master Plan is one of the few remaining potential wind development areas in Wyoming with all of these attributes:

  • Proven high-quality wind energy resource;
  • Current land use and zoning;
  • Land ownership status;
  • Existing transmission and interconnection infrastructure;
  • Existing transportation infrastructure;
  • No conflicts with military long range radar or civil radar resources (FAA permitting required for 120 meter HH);
  • Outside current Greater Sage-grouse Core Areas;
  • Outside designated Critical Habitats for federally-listed species;
  • Absence of perennial water sources supporting sensitive species and species diversity; and,
  • Other natural and cultural resource considerations discussed in coordination with the BLM.
